Olympus sees itself as part of society. As a good corporate citizen, we tackle societal challenges in places where our expertise and strengths lie as a company. Through our activities and our support for selected non-profit organizations, we aim to achieve positive results for people and create valuable opportunities.
Our corporate social responsibility activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA region) focus on the areas of healthcare, education and future careers. As part of our contribution to a green Earth, we take a responsible, sustainable approach to our use of resources, technology and in the development of product solutions for our customers. We are also committed to humanitarian and charitable initiatives to develop medical structures and access to medical supplies as part of emergency relief. As Olympus Volunteers, our employees can get involved in an EMEA-wide corporate volunteering program. They can dedicate up to two working days per year of their time, energy, skills and expertise to help the community or environment.
Our guidelines
Our Purpose, which is to make people's lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling, and our Code of Conduct form the basis of our corporate activity. We also remain committed to complying with the UN Global Compact’s ten basic principles on issues including human rights, labor—especially labor rights and protection—the environment and anti-corruption.
Social Responsibility at OBSE
Corporate Social Responsibility Team in OBSE proactively engages our employees in activities based on corporate philosophy, which consists of Our Purpose of "Making people's lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling" and Our Core Values.
We have organized several internal initiatives like gathering funds for Ekostraż and Wroclawskie Hospicjum for children during Cake day and gingerbread market, Charity Santa Claus’ Tournament, visit in Care and Treatment Centre for children in Jaszkotle, helping L’Arche organization, gathering of bottles caps and many, many others. As CSR OBSE we also took part in few external initiatives like free workshops to celebrate diversity and #workingtogether week or collecting books in the 9th Edition of Buy a book. Thanks to Olympus Employees CSR Team helped a lot of Local Organizations through corporate social initiatives that utilize technologies and knowledge for the benefit of society.
